Guest Blogging and an Invitation to Blog

17th February 2009

I love writing posts for this blog, but as any blogger will tell you: generating new, original and readable posts on a regular basis that people actually look at is hard work!

So I need some assistance and am turning to my fellow blog readers, businesses associates and networkers for help.

Whether you maintain your own blog or not (and why wouldn’t you?) – if you’re involved in a business that delivers a specific product or service that helps people out by addressing a specific need; then it’s likley you boast specific knowledge of a particular subject or may have a skill that if shared, would be appreciated and valued by other people.

With this in mind and with a view of providing valuable and variable posts to my blog readers, I’m looking for guest bloggers who would like to share their knowledge and expertise with the world.

If you’ve never “guest blogged” before; here’s a few reasons why you should and how you’ll benefit directly;

  • You’ll get lots of one way links back to your website or blog. This is a good search engine promotion technique and will help boost your rankings in Google.
  • Informative articles on other websites besides your own, in your area of expertise; sends out a positive message about your business and helps build your credibility as an “expert” in your field.
  • A good article will inevitably gain your own blog (should you run one) new readers and increase your RSS subscriptions. This in itself builds loyalty to your own website.
  • Guest blogging builds up your name in the ‘blogosphere’ as a good blogger: a worthy asset if you want to use blogging as a business tool.

So, if you’re interested in providing some guest posts on this blog please mail me at hello@inetinsights.com However before you get carried away, please consider the criteria of what I’m looking for:

  • The subject matter needs to be related to tips and techniques of doing business online and is to be aimed at micro, small and medium sized business owners. Such posts may focus on a specific business technique, raising awareness of an important issue for business owners or perhaps a review of a new business service, tool or product.
  • Posts should be original and be your own work, not replicated elsewhere on the web and between 200 and 1000 words in length.
  • Any images that you provide that support your post, must be suitably licensed or have the permission of their owners for reproduction.
  • The contributor understands and accepts that I will have final editorial control of the post.
  • The subject matter of the post mustn’t be a blatant sales pitch, nor should it contradict the message or ethics of my business.

That’s it really! Contributors won’t get paid any cash, however I will provide a credit to them in the post’s introduction and footer and will link back to their own website or blog.

Happy blogging, I look forward to hearing from you.
