Have you got 4 Sight?

30th March 2009

Recently I joined a local business networking organisation called 4Networking.biz. Business networking forms part of the promotional strategy for my business and this particular group that I’ve joined in Wakefield, looks to have potential.

Members of 4Networking are allowed to “Passport” (as they call it) around the numerous different groups across the UK, all of which meet fortnightly. There’s enough groups within my locality of Yorkshire, to keep me attending 4 days per week if I so wished (groups don’t meet on Mondays). This gives me lots of opportunities to meet many different business owners, connect and develop some good business relationships.

It’s the usual type of business networking stuff which if you do it or yourself, you’ll be familiar with.

Mettings are held over breakfast. At this fortcoming Wednesday’s meeting I’ll be “passporting” into a group’s meeting which is held just outside Leeds.

In this meeting I’ll been given the opportunity to present some inforation about my business in a 10 minute slot they have within each meeting called the “4Sight Slot”.

What this is all about can be summed up in the guidance sheet they have given me. [Download]

Needless to say I have the opporrtunity to present my business to about 20-30 local business people.

In practice what I’m actually going to do, rather than a sales pitch, is a short presentation on how to drive more visitors to a website.

The actual presentation (without commentary I might add) is available to see above. Enjoy!

I’ll let you know how I get on.
