Over the last few years we’ve worked with the School of Earth and Environment at Leeds University on a number of web based database projects: I’m proud to announce the launch of their latest project which has been developed by my team at iNet Engineers.
The new Fluvial Research Group (FRG) website may not be pretty: our the brief was to keep its look and feel similar to the existing and if I’m honest, rather plain looking School of Earth and Environment website at http://www.see.leeds.ac.uk however it’s what’s under the bonnet that’s important rather than the aesthetics of the thing.
We worked with the University’s FRG department in order to deliver a sophisticated online database that allows registered users to query a large range of research papers, projects, presentations and individual elements of measurement data in an easy to use web based interface.
The site is fully editable by members of the FRG team through a simple to use content management system which also allows the easy uploading of data and the management of subscribers.
Take a look at the site for yourself, I admit you can’t get to the interesting stuff that powers it all and is the main feature of the site, as you have to be an approved member as authorised by the University, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.
Roll on the next job!
