Due to popular demand, we’ll again be running a workshop on the practicalities of using the social networking phenomenon that is Twitter to help businesses engage with their customers and to help them generate interest.

The workshop will be in two parts – each an hour long and are designed to run inconjunction with each other.

Each workshop will be held over two lunchtime sessions at the Harehills Shine venue in Leeds on Wednesday 28th October followed by a second follow-up workshop the week after on Wednesday 4th November 2009.

Both workshops to start at 12.30pm with registration taking place from 12.00pm onwards. A light buffet lunch is included in the cost of each ticket.

  • What is Twitter and what’s it good for?
  • Setting up your account
  • Finding followers and people to follow
  • Your first Tweets

Workshop 2: Wed 4th November

  • Using 3rd party tools to manage your account
  • Hootsuite as a Twitter tool of choice
  • Engaging with your fellow tweeters

Small business owners, marketers and consultantrs whom are looking for a practical introduction to the world of Twitter.

  • Each workshop is an interactive and practical session, so bring your own WiFi enabled laptop although these one may be provided if required. Please advise at time of booking.
  • Attendees will be offered 15 minutes of telephone coaching on Twitter following the deliver of each workshop.
  • Places are being capped at 15 people per session, so book your place early.
