Business is Tweet for Bradford Businesses
15th August 2009
Bradford was the city of choice for another “Twitter for Business” seminar last week.
Keen to learn the basics of Twitter and how it could be used as a business tool; local company owners and entrapaneurs gathered together at the Park Lane Centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire for an informative two hour seminar on the virtues of the social networking phenomenon.
Attendees included representatives from Bradford based Approach PR who were keen to learn how they could utilise Twitter as a PR and marketing tool for their own clients, through to hypontherapist Gary Blonder, virtual assistant Ingrid Potter from Time Savers VA and copywriter John Seed.
Of the event, Jaimie Dobson the seminar’s presenter and owner of iNet, commented;
“These taster sessions are a great introduction to the world of Twitter for businesses big and small. Social networking sites are now used by two-thirds of marketers so Twitter is a service that can’t be ignored by any business owner as a means of self-promotion.”

Staysure Says:
Could you post some examples of actual ways to generate business from twitter?
Can’t seem to find anything concise on the net about it.

Jaimie Dobson Says:
I wouldn’t say there any concise and direct ways to generate business from Twitter, more ways of using it as a tool to enhance other business generating activities.
A subject for a future blog post perhaps. In the meantime take a look at the posts on this blog for other useful tips http://www.businessontwitter.com/
